I
wish to thank everyone who loves Frank Sinatra as I do the beautiful responses
I have been recieving. After all, it's about the music, love and the spirit
we feel
about Frank that keeps him alive in our hearts. It is a privilege and
a blessing
personally, performing the greatest music of all time most of my life
and
performing around the world that keeps it all alive.
It has been a dream come true for me.

Anthony’s performance
of Fly Me to the Moon combined slick moves and an engaging smile to render
his singing highly enjoyable. He ended his gig with New York, New York
which brought down the house. For details on the festival, log on to www.javajazzfestival.com

Anthony sometimes seems to be channeling both Sinatra and Joey Bishop
when he speaks (though when you see him standing in the shadows in profile,
his resemblance to Sinatra is positively eerie). Anthony is best with
the ballads such as "Fly Me to the Moon," "My Kind of Town," "Come Fly
with Me" and, of course, "My Way;" singing with a cool elegance which
has the audience hanging on every syllable.

when Anthony sings, the uncanny sound he creates cuts through the artifice
and conjures a time when there was a true Chairman of the Board. He doesn't
just sound like Sinatra, he evokes him. And he sticks mostly to Sinatra's
big hits, so we can easily sail on this sea of nostalgia.

Anthony made his mark
on every song, capturing Sinatra's voice and bravado presence superbly
and pulling all the stops on "My Way".

Although Gary Anthony
does a sterling job throughout (clearly has studied every mannerism, stance
and smile),
it is in "My Way" that he really get's into Frank's skin.

Anthony,
who trained as a dancer, has gone to great lengths to mimic Sinatra's
macho stance and cool movements. He even recreates mini signature sounds
in his delivery. In the melody "My Way," he starts out singing, "An-dah-
now…" The "dah" sound is probably unnoticed by most of the audience. But
Sinatra aficionados recognize it from his recordings and it makes the
rendition that much more authentic.

...Add Sinatra stylist
Gary Anthony to your list of underrated local entertainers. He sat in
with April Spain on a recent night at Fellini's and finessed Frank's greatest
hits, then followed up with a spot-on Rodney Dangerfield. Anthony is so
good at rendering the Chairman that he landed commercials for the NBA
and Delta Airlines. ...

Pack finding its way at Westward Ho By Jerry Fink

Anthony has been performing
Sinatra songs off and on for about 35 years. He has the Chairman's mannerisms
and inflections down fairly solid. They are good enough to have earned
him two recent national commercials as Sinatra -- one for the National
Basketball Association and one for Delta Air Lines.
